--- Log opened Thu May 02 00:00:01 2024 05:56 <@Dolemite> mr0ning, be0tches and h0ez! 06:51 < Evilpig> nice! plex updated to rhel 9.4 this morning and I didn't even notice the server reboot and I was watching the conners when it happened 11:57 <@Dagmar> Hmm... 11:58 <@Dagmar> _Another_ Boeing whistleblower suddenly deceases 11:58 <@Dolemite> At this point that whistle has been blown more than a porn producer 11:59 <@Dagmar> Well, at this rate they're going to be creeping up on 'delivery driver' in most dangerous professions 15:06 < Evilpig> fuck react. 15:07 < Evilpig> spent the last hour tracking down some dumb JS function they wrote to obfuscate a login credential 15:08 < Evilpig> whomever the dev was put a note above it saying this isn't a security function but just a means to sanitize data... assclown 18:18 <@Dagmar> Well, why actually sanitize data when you can just stir it around a little bit 18:20 <@Dagmar> God this kills me 18:20 * Evilpig gets a knife 18:20 <@Dagmar> I had to look closely at our web filtering policies 18:20 <@Dagmar> ...because EDR started flaming out. 18:21 <@Dagmar> The reason it was flaming out was that it couldn't reach Fortinet's EDR sites 18:21 <@Dagmar> I'd had to flip the filtering policy to the default this morning because the old "proxy-mode filters are buggy AF" problem came up 18:21 <@Dagmar> Their _default_ is to block "Uncategorized" sites. 18:21 <@Dagmar> THEY HAD NOT ASSIGNED A CATEGORY TO THEIR OWN DAMN WEBSITE. 18:23 <@Dagmar> Also, apparnetly when they add a new category, it defaults to "Allow". 18:23 <@Dagmar> So... we were explicitly allowing access to sites categorized as "Terrorism" 18:23 <@Dagmar> Aasssss clowns 19:09 < Evilpig> lol 19:10 < Evilpig> I mean I can at least understand the logic behind allowing as the default action for a new category 19:10 < Evilpig> you wouldn't want it just blocking crap because someone decided to make an "electronic music" category one day 19:47 <@Mirage> Holy crap. I actually found a part that's cheaper from O'Reilly than from RockAuto. 20:17 < Evilpig> isit a pine tree shaped air freshener? 20:27 <@Mirage> IAC Valve for the Honda. RockAuto is $30 more for the exact part. I could pull the one from the other engine, but I'd rather just put a new one on it and not have to worry about it. 21:31 <@Mirage> https://youtu.be/MGhhGhvxbvI 21:32 <@Mirage> Only $899! https://us.robosen.com/products/flagship-megatron 21:32 < PigBot> The Worlds FIRST Auto Converting DECEPTICON! I'd guess the logic would be defaulted to accept on new categories. otherwise they'd have to publish a default state with the category and things like that would take prior planning. risk assesment would always default to allow for a new anything though to prevent accidental breakage --- Log closed Fri May 03 00:00:03 2024
