I, of course, chose switch back. It does it's thing, pops up the 'old' teams and immediately gives me a screen that say "New Teams is installed and ready to use!" then gives the choice "Switch now" or "Switch when I'm not using Teams" 07:27 <@Mirage> I may just wind up spending my morning switching back/forth if they keep giving me the option 07:28 <@Dolemite> LOL 07:35 < Evilpig> Mirage: that damn thing will switch when you are idle. pissed me off how quickly it did it 07:40 <@Mirage> The old Honda continued to work as intended over the weekend since I swapped out the ECU. Of course the gremlins struck again as I was about take it on a test drive. One of the rear coolant lines decided to start dumping antifreeze. Was expecting to have to "make something work" in replacing the hose but amazingly Autozone had an exact replacement in stock. 07:42 <@Mirage> Rained all day Saturday, so I took the opportunity to finally figure out where the water I kept finding in the trunk was coming from and resolved that. 07:44 <@Mirage> Tomorrow we're gonna drop it off for an alignment. Brakes are making a lot of noise from sitting so long, but they should be fine once they get used a bit. 07:45 <@Mirage> Wife is excited and hopeful about finally getting it out of the driveway 07:45 <@Dolemite> but will she actually drive it again? 07:46 <@Dolemite> Or has she gotten too used to her Z 07:46 <@Mirage> She? It's going back to my brother. 07:46 <@Dolemite> oh, I thought this was her old car 07:47 <@Mirage> No, this is the one that died on me coming back from Current River that year. 07:48 <@Mirage> My old Black one, which I honestly liked better than the replacement 07:53 <@Dagmar> It'll be losing desktop notification privileges if they make me switch 07:53 <@Dolemite> finally managed to watch Rebel Moon Part 2 last night. Man, what a hot mess that was. 07:53 <@Dagmar> I am not fan of it sending notifcations everytime someone says _anything_ in _any chat_ 08:01 <@Mirage> I've got most of the 'teams' muted because I've been added to a couple dozen or so, most of which I don't even know what are for. What's really annoying is that there are a couple that getting pretty annoying because they've got monitoring tool setup to post alerts to the team. The goal was visibility, the result was that everyone muted it after a couple days and never look at it. 08:08 < Evilpig> Mirage: I had that very same discussion with someone this morning regarding nagios. I am fixing a couple of things in our environment and talking to this admin I told him I want to make sure I am getting him the appropriate notices and not ones he is going to see and just filter off immediately or set up a rule to ignore 08:10 <@Mirage> Our new customer that's coming on informed us in a KT session that any modifications require change management, which is just dumb since they also have a 2 week lead on all changes that are non-emergency. So dumb 08:12 <@Mirage> They were telling us that the linux environment sends ~700 alerts per day and that was their response when I asked about working with their monitoring team to potentially fix/tune at least some of the more chatty ones. 08:13 <@Dolemite> Just start charging on a per incident basis and have each alert open a unique incident 08:13 < Evilpig> are the events just a case of poorly tuned checks or actual problems? 08:15 <@Mirage> We haven't gotten a dump of their SNOW history yet for the queues, but I'd assume 95% of those are crap 08:17 <@Mirage> Another customer keeps having "Sev-1 incidents" for major outages because their monitoring team has somethign setup that monitors the VDI's spun up in their citrix environment, then goes bonkers when they get spun back down. 12:14 <@Mirage> Think I'm about done w/ the container versions of sonarr/radarr/etc. Too many weird oddities going on w/ downloads, etc. 12:21 < Evilpig> at least you tried it, more than I was willing to do with those 12:22 < Evilpig> IIRC I got tired of the weird little things those did and ended up giving them their own VMs running as root so I would stop having permission issues, etc 13:37 <@Mirage> Sure you've all already seen the new one, but just in case... https://youtu.be/cen0rBKLuYE 13:38 < PigBot> Deadpool & Wolverine | Trailer - YouTube (at youtu.be) https://tinyurl.com/29xqwsbu 21:17 <@Mirage> https://youtu.be/WddwluTpmgY 21:18 < PigBot> #BUSHBARBIE ...THE CONDOM AD THAT GOT OVER 100M VIEWS WORLDWIDE! | 02 - YouTube (at youtu.be) https://tinyurl.com/23hhprlq 22:03 <@Mirage> Which Sonarr are you using? I'm on v3.0.10.1567 for my normal one. Apparently the container was running v4.x, which threw a minor wrench in my syncing configs, etc back over to keep things sane. 22:17 <@Mirage> Painless and I have a backup, so just up'd to 4.0.4.1491 on my normal install. 22:25 <@Mirage> That and I run from a symlink to the install I want... so i this case all I did was drop in the new one and update the 'current' link to point to sonarr-4.0.4.1491. v4 doesn't use mono now, so had to make a minor tweak to the systemd file I created for it, which is no biggie. 22:32 < Evilpig> Mirage: I think i've switched sonarr and radarr over to the 4.x branches 22:33 < Evilpig> sonarr: Version 4.0.4.1491 22:33 < Evilpig> radarr: Version 5.5.0.8730 22:33 <@Mirage> My radarr update itself earlier to 5.4.6.8723 22:34 <@Mirage> Claims that's the latest.. at the moment anyway 22:34 < Evilpig> I swapped the sonarr over a while ago. the custom categories or whatever change they made there was nice 22:36 < Evilpig> I do like the controls they added to the activity section. if you cancel a download now you get the option to block that release and search again or don't search, or search again without blocking, etc. they really improved on that process 22:40 < Evilpig> I threw the other bush barbie link into discord earlier, I thought I threw it in here too. I thought this was better. https://youtu.be/FRAFxxfR8tc?si=3tUOiZpbZPxqcms7 22:41 < PigBot> #BUSHBARBIE SEES HOW FULL A CONDOM CAN GET! | 03 - YouTube (at youtu.be) https://tinyurl.com/25m8shxo --- Log closed Tue Apr 23 00:00:47 2024
