One should have been nonreflective matte. 06:17 < Evilpig> nope, just one 06:17 <@Dolemite> Ah, that may be the issue, then 06:18 <@Dolemite> I'd reach out to them and tell them, because all the ones I bought had 2 different films in the box 06:18 < Evilpig> I've got the one coming already so i'm not super worried about it. 06:19 < Evilpig> I need to take that back out one more time to fix the cigarette lighter anyhow so ill do that on thursday/friday and call that complete 06:19 <@Dolemite> Change Freeze in place and Blue Beetle just finished re-encoding... 06:19 < Evilpig> I gotta go in and get more information for palo alto to not recreate a problem 06:19 < Evilpig> these fucks 06:20 < Evilpig> and I am debating on calling ford this morning. ashley's car threw a code almost immediately saturday morning 06:20 <@Dolemite> I replaced my cigarette lighter port with https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B089SNPYFL/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o09_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 06:21 < Evilpig> I am so completely done with them at this point. we aren't doing anythign else with them ever 06:21 < PigBot> Amazon.com: [2 Pack] 12V USB Outlet, Quick Charge 3.0 Dual USB Power Outlet with Touch Switch, Waterproof 12V/24V Fast Charge USB Charger Socket DIY Kit for Car Boat Marine Bus Truck Golf Cart RV Motorcycle, etc. : Automotive (at www.amazon.com) https://tinyurl.com/yuflvmnd 06:22 < Evilpig> that's actually a nice idea there. i'll probably just fix this though. the lip that the port was screwed onto is what broke from being brittle so that replacement there would have the same problem 06:23 <@Dolemite> The second one ended up in Patrick's car. Pamela's already got adapters in all of her 12v outlets but I liked having the fast charge ports and the damn adapter not wiggling out 06:26 < Evilpig> yeah that would be nice 06:27 < Evilpig> I did like how this usb extension fit though 06:39 < aestetix> looks like another round of metoo coming up 06:40 < Evilpig> who'd you diddle? 06:40 < aestetix> lol 06:40 < aestetix> I mean the russel brand thing 06:40 < aestetix> who to be honest I barely knew who he was before this 06:40 < Evilpig> You diddled Russel Brand? That's kind of a big one there, where'd you two meet? 06:40 < aestetix> at phreaknic 06:40 <@Dolemite> aestetix: did you go see Beetlejuice with Loren Boebert? 06:40 < aestetix> we were staying in notlarry's room 08:38 <@Mirage> Better than HugMe's room 09:09 <@Mirage> This might be good. https://www.imdb.com/title/tt11426232/ 09:09 < PigBot> Totally Killer (2023) - IMDb (at www.imdb.com) https://tinyurl.com/yvxfqptt 10:00 -!- Mirage [~mirage@72.128.159.203] has quit [Remote host closed the connection] 10:02 < Evilpig> I have that one tracked. it looks like it will be goofy 10:23 -!- Mirage [~mirage@ra.thehippo.net] has joined #se2600 10:23 -!- mode/#se2600 [+o Mirage] by ChanServ 10:42 -!- Mirage_ [~mirage@bes.thehippo.net] has joined #se2600 10:42 -!- mode/#se2600 [+o Mirage_] by ChanServ 10:59 <@Dolemite> speaking of goofy, time for Futurama 11:08 < Evilpig> ths school. always with something 11:08 < Evilpig> school requires all students in grades 8 - 11 to take the PSAT and you have to pay for them to do it 11:19 < aestetix> Evilpig: maybe you can take it for her 11:38 < Evilpig> damn fire marshall's office is out to lunch or something 11:38 < Evilpig> I'm gonna get this dude eventually and then these apartment clowns can eat my ass 11:57 -!- Mirage [~mirage@ra.thehippo.net] has quit [Remote host closed the connection] 12:18 <@Mirage_> What about the fire marshl? 12:55 < Evilpig> calling the fire marhshall to come drop a fine on the apartment folks for storing lumber on top of the fire hydrant 12:55 < Evilpig> https://photos.app.goo.gl/6PzyRe5QETMgatKGA 12:55 < PigBot> No Title (at photos.app.goo.gl) 12:56 < Evilpig> I called the office on monday of last week and questioned if anyone has said anytihng to the construction folks about getting it moved because it had been 24 hours and shouldn't have bene put there to begin with 12:57 < Evilpig> nothing has been done, so now i'll call the fire marshall and let him deal with it. it's not like a fire could happen here again like it did 2 years ago, yesterday, and need access to that hydrant 12:57 < Evilpig> you'd think that you're here doing construction after a fire took out a building that you'd put a little effort into basic fire safety protocols 13:20 <@Mirage_> Bah, lighting NEVER strikes twice! 13:20 <@Mirage_> (not meaning _actual_ lightning) 13:27 < Evilpig> what did you do and can she prove it? 13:28 <@Mirage_> Referring to fire in the apt complex 13:40 < Evilpig> ohhhhh gotcha. yeah exactly 13:41 < Evilpig> tehre is a loader sitting out there that they used to move this crap around and it's still sitting there. they could have moved this at any time. this shouldn't have been there in the first place. it's actually a little worse today than in that picture because now there's a fence up on it 13:42 < Evilpig> today: https://photos.app.goo.gl/c8sNLJe5YuDSzBSWA 13:42 < PigBot> No Title (at photos.app.goo.gl) 15:57 < Evilpig> bah! 15:58 < Evilpig> wifi at teh bowling alley is sketchy 16:08 <@Mirage_> is that the ssid? I did that. it was fine. he now wants it on a webserver that he owns 16:19 < Evilpig> it's a cpanel server that he uses for his hosting stuff. I figured I can proxypass it to the python listener, but god only knows what all cpanel has done to this for customization. so I'm getting the python stuff working now. then i'll worry about how to get the webserver to it 16:19 < Evilpig> oh and this is running on centos7 too. he needs to update this crap 16:25 < Evilpig> I also should have stopped and got a coke on the way here 16:27 <@jb7od> So I was in the turning lane scooping my daughter from work and this guy does a full on Vanishing Point straight into my Pathfinder. I had enough time to lay on the horn and emit a scream, but mi amigo backs up, unpairing our conjoined vehicles, and flees leaving a trail of spraying fluid 2 blocks into the dead end he ditched it in. 16:28 <@jb7od> I'd be in custody by now if it was me. 16:29 <@jb7od> They say dude was drunk, but that level of disregard for one's own well-being says pcp or meth to me... 16:32 < Evilpig> jesus 16:32 < Evilpig> so did the cops know who he is? was the vehicle actually his? so you can go after his insurance? 16:35 <@jb7od> We're trying to find the guy- we went by the next morning and yes, the car had been towed. I've given every last detail (including photos and witnesses) to both the cops and insurance. Those are all excellent questions. 16:36 <@jb7od> Mostly, I need the vehicle info more than the man himself, but he could have been passed out at the wheel for all I know. 16:37 < Evilpig> need the man though. same as you can't say an IP is a person you can't hold the owner of the vehicle responsible for the driver 16:39 <@jb7od> The thing is there'd already been a report on this guy from some stunt driving at the Shell at Dickerson/OHB- I'm hoping they got him, it's one of the better leads 16:41 < Evilpig> that'd be nice, but if he doesn't have any injuries that can be tied to it you may be fucked and have to go solely on your insurance to fix it 16:41 <@jb7od> well, yeah- for a case, yeah- I need the guy. For the insurance deductible, there's boxes for the other driver that need filling. 16:42 < Evilpig> this shitty wifi is driving me batty! 16:44 <@jb7od> If I'd been hurt (which I should have feigned- I never think of these things in the moment for whatever reason), it'd have been a bigger deal. I do still maintain, had I done that exact same thing, I'd be incarcerated. 16:45 <@jb7od> They'd have been at the door Saturday morning. 16:46 < Evilpig> honesty is a bitch 16:48 <@jb7od> lol. It is. I do go for accuracy as a rule. 16:50 < Evilpig> hot damn 16:50 < Evilpig> that wasn't as bad as I figured it would be. https://smartpathsupport.us/williebot/ 16:50 < PigBot> No Title (at smartpathsupport.us) https://tinyurl.com/2ypstpgu 16:50 < Evilpig> obviously i've got some fixin' to do still but I did get it to connect so there's that 21:42 -!- Mirage_ [~mirage@bes.thehippo.net] has quit [Quit: leaving] 21:42 -!- Mirage [~mirage@ra.thehippo.net] has joined #se2600 21:42 -!- mode/#se2600 [+o Mirage] by ChanServ 21:45 <@Mirage> I feel like an idiot. vNAS was having some performance issues, so migrated everything over to the old physical FreeNAS (both are running TrueNAS, those are just the names). Somehow during the VM migrations the DMZ interface on my primary server wasn't re-connected by vCenter..so I've spent ENTIRELY too much time troubleshooting all sorts of various complicated shit only to find I just needed to check a 21:45 <@Mirage> f'n box in the VM properties. 21:50 <@Mirage> Not sure why, but when copying large files around on the vNAS over the network the transfer would start off normal ~120Mb/s+ and then drop down to ~10Mb/s or less. Sometimes it'd stall out at 0 for 10-15 seconds, then jump back up to 10 or so. 21:51 <@Mirage> TrueNAS claimed that da3 was causing poor performance for the pool. Looking at metrics da1 was pushing 80Mb/s writes while da2-5 were only doing 1/10th of that. Makes no sense. 21:52 < Evilpig> weird 21:53 <@Mirage> Keep in mind these are Seagate "Enterprise Storage" 12g SAS drives. These are the same thing as the older Exos, but SAS vs SATA 21:55 <@Mirage> I think I'm going to just install TrueNAS on bare metal in the old Plex hardware and just leave this as ESXi-3 w/o the NAS running virtualized on it. 21:56 <@Mirage> If it still acts shitty, maybe the LSI card is going bad --- Log closed Tue Sep 19 00:00:21 2023
