12:12 < Evilpig> I get a 3% fee on credit card transactions because at these rent rates that is significant, but an ach doesn't generally cost anything and they want me to pay them $2.50 each month to make one

12:13 < Evilpig> the week after she took over from the previous manager that was let go I told her of this fee and that I wasn't going to pay it and that should be one of the thigns she tackles immediately if they want their money quickly
12:14 < Evilpig> I wasn't sure if the previous manager picked the payment portal or if it was a corporate decision and she agreed at the last three properties she's managed ach didn't have a fee associated with that transaction
12:17 < Evilpig> this is going to go one of two ways.  either she submits and accepts my checks in the office as usual and as described in my signed and legally executed lease.  OR she refuses my check in the office and tries to claim that I haven't paid rent and moves for an eviction for lack of payment.   
12:17 < Evilpig> Only one of these options ends well, for them.  both options end with me moving next summer when my lease is up, 100%
12:22 < Evilpig> in addition to sending her the actual lease, and not the draft she tried to pass off to me like I'm a fucking twit.  I sent along the portion of the email between me and the previous manager.
12:22 < Evilpig> "Okay then, I just need that little box on the lease checked so that it’s clear and in writing that payment is accepted in the office.  I don’t care how what you advertise, this lease isn’t public record.  This is an agreement between two parties for services and this outlines the terms of that agreement. At the point at which I sign, and that box isn’t checked, I’m consenting to only paying through the portal.  While your word is good between us and this email would be an argument for a court, I’d just prefer to have it all in black and white clearly in a single document.
