Right now, I had one server, running as a virtual machine host (proxmox), with a bunch of virtual machines, including one that provided DHCP, DNS, LDAP, etc.  I could spin up a virtual machine rather quickly, and connect to it, since the vhost was pointing to the DNS/DHCP/LDAP virtual machine for all those protocols.  (Not ideal when the vhost went down, but it

16:05 <@Mirage> I've had a physical backup dhcp/dns box sitting in the rack since shortly after I virtualized all my shit.  Haven't had any issues and it's been very handy whenever I was doing the NAS migrations and such and had to take down the main dns/dhcp server.
