19:54 < Evilpig> what i ended up doing was setting the script to check the load and iowait before starting a season and if the load or wait are too high it waits 5 seconds for things to calm then does that season and checks the load again.  rinse, repeat
19:54 < Evilpig> it's kept from killing it all day and I went in and watched one or two of the shows thumbnails populate on the web interface when the script hit it in the background.  so it's definitely working
19:55 < Evilpig> the other queue is slowly generating the preview images again and I found a script that can generate teh bif files using the hardware encoder that should help repopulate that much quicker after I swap the drives tomorrow
