Plex has a database for the software to operate that contains a mapping between the physical files and the metadata which includes descriptions, preview thumbnails, watch status, etc. as well as user rights as to what they can see on the service. The database is about 4GB in total but consumes roughly 25GB on disk with backups. It's nothing fancy just a sqlite3 db 08:08 < Evilpig> 3.0G -rw-r--r-- 1 plex plex 3.0G Mar 16 08:05 /transcode/Databases/com.plexapp.plugins.library.blobs.db 08:08 < Evilpig> 975M -rw-r--r-- 1 plex plex 975M Mar 16 08:07 /transcode/Databases/com.plexapp.plugins.library.db 19M -rw-rw-r-- 1 plex plex 19M Mar 16 06:53 /transcode/Databases/tv.plex.providers.epg.cloud-3a2ff82d-db65-4e76-98c5-48bf8f5308be.db 08:12 < Evilpig> have any of you all used this before? https://guacamole.apache.org 08:12 < PigBot> Apache Guacamoleā„¢ (at guacamole.apache.org) https://tinyurl.com/y2b34oev 08:17 <@Dolemite> yes 08:17 <@Dolemite> works decently 08:17 < aestetix> I have to say, I really question some of apache's software names 08:17 < Evilpig> I might have to try that out 08:17 < Evilpig> I use VNC to access all the PCs in the house and having a web access might be useful 08:20 < Evilpig> I can definitely confirm moving the db to the ssd has helped. I just renamed ~50 shows and it's done with the updates and started all the new scanners. 09:15 <@Dolemite> https://www.cnn.com/2023/03/15/politics/trump-ralston-georgia-phone-call/index.html 09:15 < PigBot> Fulton County investigators have another recording of a Trump phone call pressuring a Georgia official | CNN Politics (at www.cnn.com) https://tinyurl.com/2nbmny8a 09:58 <@Mirage> Yeah! https://youtu.be/DBhpTgpyPHg 09:58 < PigBot> Lawsuit Claims Damages for Boneless 'Wings' - YouTube (at youtu.be) https://tinyurl.com/2goywnt5 10:16 < aestetix> hey, wild question 10:16 < aestetix> do any of you have access to the vanderbilt online library? 10:21 < aestetix> maybe I don't need that, nevermind 10:23 <@Dolemite> Well, finally. An episode of Star Trek: Picard that didn't make me yell at the stupidity and inconsistency on screen. 10:43 <@Mirage> Pretty good.. https://youtu.be/NDye3lPbXYg 10:43 < PigBot> House M.D. and Kal Penn Confront the "Woke Mind Virus" | The Daily Show - YouTube (at youtu.be) https://tinyurl.com/2mwt3z2o 11:23 <@Dolemite> yeah, Kal has been one of the better guest hosts so far 11:26 <@Mirage> Al Franken next week. That should be good. 11:28 <@Dolemite> I hope he's good enough 11:28 <@Dolemite> smart enough 11:28 <@Dolemite> and dog gone it, that people like him 11:33 <@Mirage> I pretty much only ever think of Franken in terms of SNL. 11:33 <@Dolemite> He was a pretty effective senator for a while 12:48 -!- Mirage [~mirage@ra.thehippo.net] has quit [Ping timeout: 256 seconds] 12:49 -!- opticron [~opticron@136.53.58.220] has quit [Ping timeout: 256 seconds] 12:49 -!- opticron [~opticron@136.53.58.220] has joined #se2600 12:49 -!- mode/#se2600 [+o opticron] by ChanServ 12:53 -!- Mirage [~mirage@ra.thehippo.net] has joined #se2600 12:53 -!- mode/#se2600 [+o Mirage] by ChanServ 13:26 <@Mirage> Guess the interbet going down for a few around noon-time is gonna be a thing now while they have construction going on w/ the Apts down the street 13:26 <@Mirage> The internet too 15:33 <@Dagmar> oh lordy 15:33 <@Dagmar> I just watched a streamer talking about LInus of Linus Tech Tips almost blowing up his career last night and it was hilarious 15:33 <@Dagmar> So apparently I'm not the only person who didn't know what the fuck "hard-r" refers to 15:34 <@Dagmar> ...and he's talking about watching some old tv shows from the early 00's where they casually used the word 'gay' for stuff, and he found that jarring, and then mentioned an episode of family guy using "the hard-r" 15:35 <@Dagmar> ...and then he talks about how then it wasn't a big deal and no one really meant anything by it and said he'd dropped his fair share of hard-r's then and you can watch his co-presenter just start losing his will to live 15:35 <@Dagmar> Like, you can see in his eyes, he's thinking... "Well, it was nice having a job while it lasted" 15:36 <@Dagmar> He asked for clarification and Linus was like "It means _what_?!? No... I meant the bad word for people with a mental handicap" 16:55 < aestetix> wait what happened 16:55 < aestetix> what did Lius do 16:57 < aestetix> found it 17:05 < aestetix> that's funny, politcal correctness has gone so bonkers that people can't even keep track of the lingo they use to not say forbidden words 17:07 < aestetix> Also, I thought the same thing as Linus. I didn't realize hard-r meant the other word 17:23 < Evilpig> get rid of the grammar police and get back to thick skin 17:25 < Evilpig> this renaming is going to take days. 139 more done, 248 more to finish for just the shows that are still continuing 17:27 < aestetix> I am thinking about it 17:27 < aestetix> I don't think I've ever heard the term "hard-r" before 17:28 < aestetix> I guess that's because I don't use "social" media 17:28 < Evilpig> it's not new 17:29 < Evilpig> definitely been around more than a decard 17:29 < Evilpig> decade 17:29 < Evilpig> iirc one of the comedians had a set with it 17:29 < aestetix> doesn't mean I knew about it ;) 17:32 < Evilpig> it was big though, i'm thinking maybe chris rock? 17:32 < Evilpig> I dunno. I gotta run and get gas in the car now so I can get to my doctor's appointment in the morning on time 17:32 < Evilpig> later 19:56 <@Dagmar> Lemme see if i can find the video becuase the cohost's face is really the best part 19:58 <@Dagmar> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r9erKBWXXuI 19:58 < PigBot> Linus Tech Tips Almost Ruined His Career | Hasanabi Reacts to MoistCr1tikal (Charlie) - YouTube (at www.youtube.com) https://tinyurl.com/2pxfds3e 19:58 <@Dagmar> Oh wait... that's still one removed 19:59 <@Dagmar> Here we go..
