I tried limiting the allowed ciphers in the /etc/krb5.conf, which had been the solution in the past, but that didn't work in this case.

10:09 <@Mirage> Evilpig: the fix on EL7 was to add "preferred_enctypes = AES256-CTS AES128-CTS RC4-HMAC DES-CBC-MD5 DES-CBC-CRC" to the krb5.conf.   Apparently 'RC4-*' has been deemed insecure now.   I probably could have just used the same old fix w/ RC4-HMAC removed and also resolved it, if I'd read a bit more into it before running the 'solution' they had.
