I mean really 07:09 < Evilpig> https://www.ticketmaster.com/event/1B005D8BBB65455A?wt.mc_id=EML_TMNT568912_9469_0[CTABtn_E_1B005D8BBB65455A&et_cid=TM_568912 07:09 < PigBot> Let's Get Your Identity Verified (at www.ticketmaster.com login/password dcim/dcim) https://tinyurl.com/2n9tml86 07:09 < Evilpig> I got this in my email this morning and I was like, "cool, sandler is touring that could be fun" 07:09 < Evilpig> they're still in presale but ticketbastard is offering premium seats and resold seats for upwards of $500 each 07:13 <@Dolemite> Yeah, well, that's Ticketmasturbator for you 07:16 < Evilpig> the bullshit they pulled with the lobbiest making it where they could be the ticket scalpers is utter madness. that should have never been allowed to happen 07:17 < Evilpig> I really want to see something happen to them for "convenience" fees. still pissed that the last time I went to get tickets for something at the ryman there was no physical ticket option, you couldn't buy one at the box office, and I was being charged like $5 or $10 for the convenience of an electronic ticket that was my only option 07:17 < Evilpig> that might have been tpac too 07:19 <@Dolemite> Some places up here still have the actual physical ticket at the box office option. Ashley Capps is based here - he's the guy behind Bonnaroo - so he has been trying to fight back as much as he can 07:19 <@Dolemite> And he produces a few things around town. At least, last time I checked. 07:20 < Evilpig> the clowns that have taken over exit/in are already showing signs that they are going to outsource everything to livenation and ticketbastard. :-/ 07:22 <@Dolemite> hehehehe, when Tdarr and Sonarr compete... 8 vCPU system is at 7.6 load 07:22 < Evilpig> mine is up over 30T saved now 07:23 <@Dolemite> I'm approaching 15 TB. Will definitely go past that as I start grabbing higher quality replacements for some of the shows and movies I have so that I can hevc squeeze them 07:23 <@Dolemite> I need to take Patrick's old PC and slap Linux on it and make another Tdarr node 07:23 < Evilpig> I tried really hard to mix linux and windows nodes for tdarr but failed 07:24 < Evilpig> the path translation didn't work right for the handbrake profile 07:24 < Evilpig> I think I could get around that by putting hte profile file on each node but wasn't worth it. just doing windows and it's fine. it works 07:26 <@Dolemite> Mine are all Linux so I just set all the mount points exactly the same. No translation to worry about at all. 07:26 <@Dolemite> /plex/tv; /plex/tv_archive; /plex/movies; /plex/midget_pr0n 07:27 < Evilpig> in the handbrake command I have a path to point to the conversion profile 07:27 < Evilpig> --preset-import-file "\\diskpig3.private.wilpig.org\tcache\wilpig.json" -Z "h265 - no hardware" 07:27 < Evilpig> it won't translate that path. :-/ 07:29 < Evilpig> and there isn't a way to make a path following the same style betweeen windows and linux unless I put that file in the same location as the handbrake binary so I could just do --present-import-file wilpig.json 07:35 <@Dolemite> I might try to setup my laptop here (Windows) to work with it while I'm gone 07:35 < Evilpig> if nothing else it's an interesting exercise to try 07:36 <@Dolemite> that's what I'm thinking 07:37 <@Dolemite> actually, this would make it easier... WSL 2 running it as a container 07:37 < Evilpig> damn straight it would 07:39 <@Dolemite> which would also work in reverse, since you could just toss all the path translation into a docker-compose.yaml file 07:48 <@Dolemite> Ouch. Got to go get fingerprinted 4 times because they fucked something up on one of them. Pictures taken. Scans of DL and Passport. Multiple questionaires. Highly recommend it to anyone who feels like they need an excuse to drink and curse a lot. 12:40 <@Mirage> On a sep note. I FINALLY got the iPod working after doing the mSATA conversion. The site I bought it from had instructions from the OLD version of the card. After spending entirely too much time trying to do diagnostics and such for their support who'd simply asked 'did you follow the instructions' before starting down the rabbit hole, I finally just looked up the manufacturer and checked their site 12:40 <@Mirage> which had updated and CORRECT instructions.. 12:41 -!- npcomp [~user@user/npcomp] has quit [Ping timeout: 256 seconds] 12:41 <@Mirage> I'll give the place I bought it from props for one thing... the instructions were updated within an hour of me pointing that out. 12:43 <@Mirage> The one main difference is that apparently too many people were having issue with installing it the originally intended way, so they redesigned the connector so that it installed flipped over for the new ones. So, when I was installing it 'correctly' by the old instructions, I was actually plugging in the HDD cable backwards 12:54 < Evilpig> you've got me stopped at "ipod" 12:54 < Evilpig> those still exist?! 12:54 -!- npcomp [~user@user/npcomp] has joined #se2600 12:54 -!- mode/#se2600 [+o npcomp] by ChanServ 12:56 <@Mirage> I use them in my vehicles for tunes since most of the local radio sucks. I don't give a shit about satellite radio or some app off my phone which are gonna require a subscription. 12:57 < Evilpig> fair enough. I have spotify because the dumb kids are addicts and think their entire lives need soundtracks 12:57 <@Mirage> Snagged a couple 5th gen ones off ebay for cheap specifically to do these mods on because they are much easier to take apart and do stuff to than the 6th/7th gen ones which have a metal front vs plastic on the older ones. 12:58 < Evilpig> but then again I also have xm for my vehicles because I enjoy that 13:03 <@Mirage> You can snag 5th gen ipods off ebay for ~$25-30. The mSATA conversion is $40, and a 64G drive was $24 (which I could have gotten cheaper if I wanted some no-name chinese shit). 13:12 <@Mirage> One thing is for sure, restore/sync w/ the mSATA is WAAAYY faster than w/ the original 1.8" Hitachi HDD that was in it 13:32 <@Dolemite> Evilpig: Got the thinkpad working for transcoding, now. It ended up being easier just to install ffmpeg for Windows on the box then run the Windows client for Tdarr_Node. 13:36 < Evilpig> it shouldn't have had to install ffmpeg. it should do that on its own. 13:36 < Evilpig> my problem is that I want that custom profile for handbrake 13:36 <@Dolemite> It only installs Handbrake 13:36 < Evilpig> I thought it would do ffmpeg too 13:36 <@Dolemite> Nope 13:37 <@Dolemite> But I only use ffmpeg so I'm good 13:48 <@Dolemite> Well, better go do some laundry so I can pack 13:48 <@Dolemite> Later 16:56 < aestetix> so I gotta ask 16:57 < aestetix> Has the NFT nonsense burst any of the Trump cult? 17:12 <@Dagmar> Doubt it 17:12 <@Dagmar> Most of them won't have the first clue how to buy an NFT and will probably fall afoul of grifters/fraudsters 17:13 <@Dagmar> As to the portable audio, I have yet to find a decent mp3 player since Google Play shut down 17:14 <@Dagmar> OKay, well, I've found a couple "decent" ones but not one that has a really good UI 21:09 <@Mirage> how?!
