--- Log opened Wed Nov 30 00:00:52 2022 08:00 < Evilpig> having to argue with my apartment management over trash pickup this morning. shitbird trash company went nearly a week without picking up my trash leading to a pile of bags and the management company tried to claim that they will only pick up one bag a night 08:01 < Evilpig> Then they countered with the trash was sitting beside the can so they didn't pick it up because it wasn't in the can that was already full and had two more bags on it. :-/ 08:37 <@Dolemite> mr0ning, be0tches and h0ez! 10:01 <@Mirage> How many times does Trump need to admit to having taken the documents before they charge him for it? What's the hold-up? 10:45 <@Dagmar> Preparing legal countermeasures for all the bullshit his unpaid lawyers will dream up 10:46 <@Dagmar> If this were a poor person they would have been locked up months ago with no bail allowed 10:47 <@Dagmar> Plus at this point co-ordinating all the various investigations could probably warrant opening an entire office devoted to just aht 10:47 <@Dagmar> s/aht/that/ 14:57 <@Mirage> Yeah, but surely they aren't trying to build cases for everything and have one trial w/ a bunch of different charges. He's admitted verbally during speeches/interviews and in writing via Truth/Twitter that he knowingly took the documents. There's not really much that can be done to defend against your own words stating that you committed the crime AND that you have zero remorse for having done so. 15:03 < Evilpig> sure there is. "that's not what I meant" 17:51 <@Dagmar> Mirage: The odds are pretty high he's going to be making regular trips from the penetentiary to defend himself in his _other_ criminal cases 17:51 <@Dagmar> He's been up to rather a lot, and it's all finally catching up with him 18:41 <@Mirage> My greatest fear, and what I totally expect to happen regardless of what he gets convicted for is that he's going to be granted a pardon at the state and federal levels by whatever republican is the govenor of the state(s) in question where he gets nailed and by whomever our next replican president is simply because of the fact that he was formerly president. 18:56 < Evilpig> as much as i'm sure that's going to be the case, i'm hoping that the charges are severe enough that he becomes a poison pill for the party. they can choose to save him and destroy any credibility for being honest or they can hang him out to dry and let us all wash our hands of blight 19:35 <@Dagmar> I don't think you can be pardoned for federal crimes by a state governor. 19:36 <@Dagmar> ...and you definitely can't be pardoned for espionage by anyone who wants to be re-elected. --- Log closed Thu Dec 01 00:00:54 2022
