Or look at package install history. 09:37 <@Dolemite> It's like they took more of an Operator approach to the OS and never learned anything beyond the commands they were given 09:49 <@Mirage> Dolemite: Welcome to Corp IT? 09:52 <@Mirage> I have to deal w/ entirely too many Apps/DB people that have no clue about anything beyond what they touch. The Oracle team managing this one app had no clue why they were getting database connection denied errors after the host was re-IP'd. The firewall was blatantly open because they were getting connected and denied by the server. Had to escalate to two different Oracle teams to figure out that the 09:52 <@Mirage> database had an allow list that needed to be updated w/ the new IP..which is what I told them about 2 seconds after they tried to start their app after the re-IP and got the error. 18:49 -!- Mirage_ [~mirage@bes.thehippo.net] has joined #se2600 18:49 -!- mode/#se2600 [+o Mirage_] by ChanServ 18:49 <@Mirage_> ok, well Windows wsl works. 18:49 -!- Mirage_ [~mirage@bes.thehippo.net] has quit [Client Quit] 20:27 <@Dagmar> So does huffing dust off --- Log closed Fri Nov 18 00:00:34 2022
