16:38 < Evilpig> ugh just had to read up on atsc 3.0 spec.  they upped the broadcast codec to hevc, awesome... more gooder in less packets.  meanwhile the shitty DRM lobbiest pushed in AC-4 as the audio codec to handle dolby audio which comes with DRM and a specific licensed codec
16:39 < Evilpig> so plex can't decode the audio stream because of this,  they're supposedly trying to license the codec but red tape being what it is, god only know if or when it'll be supported
