09:59 <@Mirage> The moral of the story is that I told this guy ages ago that because we run into version problems between his development on a windows box and hosts that are either highly restricted or just plain don't get internet access that we needed to build an "appliance" image w/ all his shit on there and working.   After 6+ months of arguing with him about it I finally just gave up.

He had to be walked through removing the system python, unpacking, and linking the new binary...which works except that they didn't compile it with pip and now he's totally lost on how to add modules w/o pip
