--- Log opened Sun Feb 13 00:00:48 2022 07:30 <@Shadow404> YAY, my PI memory leak issue has been resolved, kinda. More like mitigated, but running Piaware on a Raspberry Pi 3 Model A+ and Netdata for monitoring just maxes it out during nightly garbage collection processes right around 1:45. So What I did, was take a Kasa Wifi Outlet plug and hooked it up inline with the power adapter for the PI and setup a scheduled for 2:00am off, 2:01am on. Bam, instant 07:30 <@Shadow404> nightly restart to clear memory leak. Piaware boots immediately and back in business. Tried running a script, but that wasnt full proof with the memory leak issue for it to even initiate successfully. 08:52 -!- NotLarry [~NotLarry@066-190-177-036.res.spectrum.com] has quit [Quit: leaving] 08:52 -!- NotLarry [~NotLarry@066-190-177-036.res.spectrum.com] has joined #se2600 10:36 < dasunt_> It's one of those days I wonder what the help desk actually does. 10:47 <@Shadow404> haha 10:48 <@Shadow404> Same in the NOC 10:51 < dasunt_> LOL, I'm technically classified as the NOC. I wonder sometimes as well. 11:05 < dasunt_> For the love of god, why the hell does nobody actually diagnose this shit? 11:08 <@Evilpig> diagnose what? 11:09 < dasunt_> This ticket. 11:09 <@Evilpig> Better question is "is the carwash open right now. it's 30 outside" 11:09 < dasunt_> Server X is not talking to server Y. Apparently, I'm the first one to actually try to log into either server to see what's going on. 11:12 <@Evilpig> got the rest of the necessary network lines run at my parent's house yesterday and got the doorbell camera installed 11:14 <@Evilpig> even got to set the alarm off on the doorbell cam this morning triggering my mom to yell at my stepdad 11:14 <@Evilpig> https://photos.app.goo.gl/AqfPpZGJZQKZDVLy5 11:14 < PigBot> No Title (at photos.app.goo.gl) https://tinyurl.com/y8e8bp2z 11:14 < dasunt_> It still amazes me, even after years in being in IT, how quickly people want to psas tickets to another team without even doing an ounce of work. 11:15 <@Evilpig> when I left this has become their new favorite tv show 11:16 < dasunt_> LOL. 11:17 < dasunt_> I've been watching a lot of that true-crime show where neighbors kill each other. Are your parents obsessed with their neighbors yards? Because that appears to be a huge risk factor. 11:18 <@Evilpig> nah. mom is just your typical busy body watching everyone walking past 11:36 < dasunt_> Just making sure. 11:37 < dasunt_> It's amazing how formulaic the situations are for neighbor homicide. It's either two neighbors who suck, or mental illness. Sometimes both. 12:03 -!- NotLarry [~NotLarry@066-190-177-036.res.spectrum.com] has quit [Quit: leaving] 12:04 -!- NotLarry [~NotLarry@066-190-177-036.res.spectrum.com] has joined #se2600 12:39 <@aestetix> _NSAKEY: you're bald right? 12:39 <@aestetix> do you look like this guy? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KXfibK8tCtk 12:40 < PigBot> “I'm Chris Hansen." When the crime is committed, or when it is discovered? 15:52 < dasunt_> Also, what's the federal statute of limitations? 15:53 < dasunt_> Guessing at $3.6B, the feds are more than interested. 15:53 <@_NSAKEY> for fed crimes with no written statute of limitations, it's 5 years, or 8 if they're tacking on terrorism enhancements 15:53 <@_NSAKEY> and I think the clock starts when it's discovered 15:53 <@_NSAKEY> but I don't remember that part 16:20 < dasunt_> I would assume every attempt at money laundering could be a new offense. 16:21 < dasunt_> You think I'd know this since my mandatory financial regulations was just last week, but nope. 16:58 <@Dagmar> Well, yes. 16:58 <@Dagmar> ...but one offense or thirty offenses kind of fails to matter when you're stone cold bustsed on having stolen several million dollars 16:59 <@Dagmar> If there's worrying about the difference in advance, it's time to quit that job and go work for people who won't land you in jail 18:16 <@Dagmar> Okay... bets on whether or not 'NOPE' is real? 18:16 <@Dagmar> heh 18:16 <@Dagmar> With Peele's name attached, it could go either way 18:16 <@Dagmar> They _might_ just be fucking with people 18:27 <@Evilpig> nope? stuperbowl ad? 18:28 <@Evilpig> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=In8fuzj3gck 18:28 < PigBot> NOPE - Official Trailer - YouTube (at www.youtube.com) https://tinyurl.com/yaw8ybm2 18:30 <@Evilpig> definitely a thing. it's also being tracked by radarr already https://radarr.wilpig.com/movie/762504 18:30 < PigBot> Radarr (at radarr.wilpig.com) https://tinyurl.com/yag7bjrs 18:55 <@Dagmar> Yeah the ad that was aired is much shorter and less explicable 19:21 <@Dagmar> The halftime show is sweet 19:31 <@Dagmar> Man I should have watched some Let's Play videos first 19:31 <@Dagmar> I am disappoint that Lost Ark is a Diablo-like 19:31 <@Dagmar> Wasted that download 23:51 -!- Netsplit *.net <-> *.split quits: brimstone, NotLarry 23:52 -!- Netsplit over, joins: NotLarry, brimstone --- Log closed Mon Feb 14 00:00:50 2022
