Those are notorious for going bad on the Nissan, so you always replace the sensor and harness when you do a timing belt and/or water pump. 09:05 <@Mirage_> Just run by the nearest autozone and have them plug their OBD reader into it, see what comes up. 09:17 <@Mirage_> As to stuck thermostat, I ran w/o one for YEARS on my Z w/o any problems. Really the only problem that you might have w/ the thermostat stuck open is that it takes longer for the coolant to heat up and therefore longer before you get heat blowing out the vents when it's cold. 09:18 < Evilpig> no codes, it's just running cold 09:19 <@Mirage_> and that temp warning light..or did I not see that correctly in the pic 09:19 <@Mirage_> ? 09:20 <@Mirage_> Or is that the coolant level warning light? Didn't think about that for the light, but that wouldn;t effect performance...the cylinder head temp sensor would 09:22 < Evilpig> the lights are all fine, the phone did that nightmode where it took several shots that were jittery and stitched them together making it kinda blurry 09:26 <@Mirage_> When was the last time it got a tune-up? 09:27 <@Mirage_> That's the easiest thing to do that would effect mileage...plugs/air cleaner esp 09:28 < Evilpig> been a while. when I had the dude do the shocks I mentioned doing plugs and a tuneup and haven't gotten back to him 09:37 <@Mirage_> Evilpig: wtf... "Server does not support resume of files > 4 GB." 09:50 < Evilpig> ftp server? 09:52 <@Mirage_> yeah 10:02 < Evilpig> i'll poke at it and see. I can open a support ticket with them about it maybe 11:51 -!- Mirage_ [~mirage@ra.thehippo.net] has quit [Ping timeout: 260 seconds] 14:01 -!- decius [~decius@108-210-180-90.lightspeed.tukrga.sbcglobal.net] has quit [Ping timeout: 260 seconds] 16:58 -!- Mirage_ [~mirage@ra.thehippo.net] has joined #se2600 16:58 -!- mode/#se2600 [+o Mirage_] by ChanServ 17:00 <@Mirage_> internet took a shit...again. Dude that came out and decided that all the cabling in the house was shit (quad-shielded R6 that I ran myself), the cable boxes were causing interference (which is a residential service problem, not business), and the active return amp was exacerbating the problem of the line noise from the cable boxes and knocking the modem offline. 17:03 <@Mirage_> I told him that I was having problems with it when I did what he suggested before, which was to just use one barrel and run straight to the modem with everything else unhooked. He completely ignored this and instead decided that the solution was to run a second drop from the tap to the house and directly to the modem. If it fixes it, great...if not maybe they'll actually listen to me that the problem is 17:03 <@Mirage_> something upstream and NOT anything in the house. 17:09 < Evilpig> dkms failed me and having to reinstall cuda. :-/ 17:10 <@Mirage_> eww 17:11 < Evilpig> agreed 17:11 < Evilpig> first time its done this in a while 17:11 < Evilpig> if it isn't happy with this. i'll boot the last kernel and say fuck it til the next update 17:20 < Evilpig> after much yelling and pleading. nvidia-smi is working again 17:23 <@Mirage_> Yeah, mine's not internet facing, so I'd just blocked kernel updates so I didn't have to mess with it until/unless I upgrade ffmpeg and it decides I need a newer version of CUDA 17:28 < Evilpig> I've had a couple of plex updates that needed kernel updates so meh. this system has something weird anyway. I might should just look at doing a clean wipe and rebuild 17:30 <@Mirage_> walmart is so annoying. Ordered tires from walmart.com because I couldn't really find what I wanted anywhere else. Size ordered: 195/70/R14. Size Received: 195/65/R15. Took them and the printed receipt to the nearest store, they told me at customer service that I needed to do the return through walmart.com and that they would send me shipping instructions. 17:31 < Evilpig> oh ffs 17:31 < Evilpig> really? 17:31 < Evilpig> the shipping instructions will be take to store x 17:31 <@Mirage_> Got home, did the return stuff, and it tells me "print out this barcode and take items to customer service for your refund." 17:31 <@Mirage_> fuckers. 17:53 <@Mirage_> Too bad I'm not in Nashville, I could probably bribe George Saldana or Cliff Kirby to come out to the house and certify the wiring with their fluke gear. 18:04 <@jb7od> I guess it's cool Ardor is selling it's win ports, but idk how I feel about subscriptions and then therefore mandatory build-in web-awareness in my audio applications- it sets a gross precedent. Wish it wasn't tho, I know those guys gotta eat and all, but geh.. 18:08 <@jb7od> I think too much fretting goes into software control- the hardware is going to advance beyond it's usefulness at any single point in time. 18:11 <@jb7od> (I'm glad they offer a 32-bit port, but not at the same cost and account requirements) 18:27 -!- strages [sid11297@helmsley.irccloud.com] has quit [Ping timeout: 240 seconds] 18:31 -!- strages [sid11297@id-11297.helmsley.irccloud.com] has joined #se2600 18:31 -!- mode/#se2600 [+o strages] by ChanServ 21:24 -!- decius [~decius@108-210-180-90.lightspeed.tukrga.sbcglobal.net] has joined #se2600 21:43 -!- decius [~decius@108-210-180-90.lightspeed.tukrga.sbcglobal.net] has quit [Ping timeout: 268 seconds] 23:39 -!- decius [~decius@108-210-180-90.lightspeed.tukrga.sbcglobal.net] has joined #se2600 23:43 -!- decius [~decius@108-210-180-90.lightspeed.tukrga.sbcglobal.net] has quit [Ping timeout: 245 seconds] --- Log closed Sat Nov 27 00:00:53 2021
