08:32 <@Mirage_> Dagmar: The first 4-5 books weren't so bad on the overspecific tangents, the next few where his daughter was helping were annoying and prompted a lot of skipping a page here and there, the last ones where Sanderson took over to complete weren't bad

08:37 <@Mirage_> One of the main problems with the series, IMO, was that he had so many "main" characters and had them split up so much that there were many chapters and almost complete books which hardly mentions some character.  Then everythign will shift in next chapter/book where it's the catchup of all the stuff that happened to that one did while the others were doing the other stuff.
08:40 <@Mirage_> The first time through it confuses the continuity of the story, especially in some places.  After you've read all of them through it makes a lot more sense when you re-read them.
