Apparently he's an actual commedian and will be performing in Austin on May 7th. 21:43 -!- Mirage [mirage@ra.thehippo.net] has quit [Quit: leaving] 21:54 < jb7od> So here's a scenario. Say you've got a vlan for phone in a normal situation (e.g. data = 1 [default] phone = 100) and you've got a Cisco RV32* that won't do both ip mapping and intervlan and despite this, you're trying to set up remote IP phones.. I've tried using a static map to a linux box masquerading into the vlan, which worked for normal things like ssh and https, but somthing about the remote phones wasn't able to handshake back in (NEC SV9100). Any 21:54 < jb7od> other ideas before considering fully segregating or is there just no getting around that? 22:04 <@Evilpig> have you run a tcpdump to see if some of the traffic is trying to go direct instead of through your masquerade? maybe you're getting half the handshake in but the route back is failing? 22:56 -!- Mirage [mirage@ra.thehippo.net] has joined #se2600 22:56 -!- mode/#se2600 [+o Mirage] by ChanServ 22:57 <@Mirage> You too can be an SELinux expert...lol https://www.thehippo.net/files/SELinuxColoringBook.pdf 22:57 < PigBot> None (at www.thehippo.net) 22:59 <@Mirage> Having fun trying to figure out the whole RHEL Developers licensing thing...which I can't really find shit about on their site so far. But, I did find that coloring book. 23:46 <@Mirage> hmm.. went to developer.redhat.com, was prompted to create/link my account when I clicked on the download link for RHEL, and was able to register it simply using the login user/pass. 23:48 <@Mirage> Per the doc you can have up to 16 systems (virtual or physical) registered per developer account. The account has to be renewed every year. 23:53 <@Mirage> oh, developers.redhat.com, missed the 's'. 23:56 <@Mirage> Likely gonna be moving from CentOS 7 to RHEL 8 for my home server before too long since CentOS is gonna be upstream from RHEL (aka BETA) vs being downstream (aka STABLE) 23:56 < jb7od> Evilpig: that's exactly what's happening, there's three ports involved in this turnaround and whatever's the second thing (possibly even just for even exceeding 100-base) is just too stupid to make the hop. 23:58 < jb7od> That's a chapping thing about the RV though- it really is. --- Log closed Sun Apr 11 00:00:02 2021
