Isn't about time to think about getting some small sporty convertible? 08:38 <@Evilpig> https://www.cnet.com/roadshow/news/2021-ford-f150-ota-lay-flat-seats-groundbreaking-features/ 08:38 < PigBot> 2021 Ford F-150: From OTA to lay-flat seats, these are the groundbreaking features you need to know - Roadshow (at www.cnet.com) https://tinyurl.com/yaeyb99a 08:38 <@Dolemite> Shit, like my fat ass could fit into a small sporty convertible 08:39 <@Evilpig> mine isn't all that small 08:39 <@Evilpig> it's pretty nice to drive too 08:39 <@Mirage> Dolemite: didn't say you had to get one, just think about it. 08:39 <@Dolemite> I'd like a vehicle that makes it more likely I can talk Pamela into letting me get an RV 08:39 <@Dolemite> Or at least a decent popup 08:49 <@Mirage> I'm sure a Hellcat could pull just about anything you wanted to hook onto it. =) 08:49 <@Mirage> And would be hella fun on 'The Dragon' 08:52 <@Dolemite> Ok, I looked. I'll pass. LOL 09:04 <@eryc> Evilpig: i see they fixed your memory leak.. also the latest version has deprecated CentOS 09:10 <@Dolemite> It's a Life Day Miracle! 09:13 <@Evilpig> eryc: they side-stepped my memory leak. it isn't fixed 09:15 <@eryc> heh, the release notes say "fixed"! 09:17 < aestetix> ok question for you all 09:17 < aestetix> I have a vpn setup.... it works from inside vagrant, but not from my host machine 09:17 < aestetix> identical config files 09:17 < aestetix> the only difference I see is the source ip 09:18 < aestetix> any idea why? 09:21 <@eryc> do you get an error 09:21 < aestetix> no 09:21 < aestetix> it just keeps trying to connect 09:22 <@eryc> could be firewall issue, try looking at wireshark for clues 09:26 < aestetix> fuck me I figured it out 09:26 < aestetix> there was an old vpn software messing with it 09:26 < aestetix> stopped the daemon, now it works 09:51 <@Dolemite> Ugh, the desire to shake this baby to death continues, today. Developer remake the Dockerfile to only install the base npm, so when he actually instantiates it to run it has to download all of the libraries/packages that are referenced. He has no fucking clue what the point of making the container is. 09:52 <@Dolemite> It also barely finishes and starts up before the Liveness Probe gives up and signals a restart. 09:54 < aestetix> dockerfile + npm 09:55 < aestetix> that sounds godawful 09:55 <@Dolemite> When done correctly it's actually pretty good 09:55 < aestetix> well anything + npm is awful 09:56 <@Dolemite> I've got competent developers working on a project where the front end is npm/ReactJS and the back end is .NET Core 5, which just came out about 3 weeks, ago. Separate repositories, separate containers. I just have a regex in the ingress rule that tells Kubernetes which container to send the traffic to. 09:57 <@Dolemite> The backend dev is happy that he doesn't have to load .NET Core sdk on his laptop, which would conflict with the Core 4 he already has. He simply commits the code and the Dockerfile handles the build and then pushes the compiled image. 09:58 <@Dolemite> That's different from the dipshit who stripped the actual build/install out of the Dockerfile. 10:02 -!- Dagmar [~dagmar@unaffiliated/dagmar] has quit [Ping timeout: 246 seconds] 10:16 < aestetix> Dolemite: do you see many uses for docker in production? 10:16 < aestetix> In development, it makes a lot of sense 10:17 <@Dolemite> aestetix: Yes, we have production loads running containers. However, docker the technology, not Docker the brand. 10:17 <@Dolemite> Our loads are orchestrated with Kubernetes 10:20 <@Evilpig> my loads are orchestrated by the internet. 10:20 <@Dolemite> Not that kind of load, Evilpig 11:59 -!- Dagmar [~dagmar@c-69-247-146-235.hsd1.tn.comcast.net] has joined #se2600 11:59 -!- Dagmar [~dagmar@c-69-247-146-235.hsd1.tn.comcast.net] has quit [Changing host] 11:59 -!- Dagmar [~dagmar@unaffiliated/dagmar] has joined #se2600 11:59 -!- mode/#se2600 [+o Dagmar] by ChanServ 13:46 -!- rpifan [~rpifan@p200300d26709a100645f3b10ec6b6bbc.dip0.t-ipconnect.de] has quit [Ping timeout: 240 seconds] 14:03 <@Dolemite> Evilpig: Please address the Issues assigned to you on GitHub so that I can close out 20.02 :P 14:03 <@Dolemite> There are only TWO 14:06 <@Dolemite> Sorry, THREE 14:23 <@Evilpig> I'll try to look tonight 14:23 <@Evilpig> I'm busy right at the moment 14:24 <@Dolemite> That episode of 90 Second Fiancee can wait! 14:25 <@Evilpig> transposing shit from network solutions to on prem dns 14:33 <@Dagmar> axfr yo 14:38 <@Evilpig> not that easy 14:38 <@Evilpig> we have split view dns and network solutions has the one.
