--- Log opened Tue Apr 07 00:00:50 2020 02:19 < K`Tetch> so, looks like might have had the first deaths in this county 03:55 <@Evilpig> god damnit. https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1650984#c1 03:55 < PigBot> 1650984 – RTL8111 NIC not working with kernel 4.19.2 (at bugzilla.redhat.com) http://tinyurl.com/y7qxnx72 03:55 <@Evilpig> so that network problem I had several months back was a kernel bug but at least there's a workaround. 03:56 <@Evilpig> I just loaded patches again and the network disappeared in the middle of the night again but the system seemed stable 06:27 <@Dolemite> mr0ning, be0tches and h0ez! 06:44 * aestetix hugs Dolemite 06:50 * Dolemite infects aestetix with virtual cooties 06:51 <@Dolemite> Woke up this morning with my chest hurting like crazy 06:51 <@Dolemite> Thought I had the 'rona. Turns out it was the Zyrtec I took before bed last night got stuck about half way down. When I took my morning medicine and followed up with some coffee, I could feel it sliding down my esophagus. 06:56 <@Evilpig> Dolemite: so what you're saying is... you don't have a gag reflex? 06:57 <@Dolemite> Guess not 06:57 <@Dolemite> At least, once it gets past the trachea 07:47 <@dc0de> Dolemite: that's an interesting discovery, and a painful sounding way to take your meds... :( 07:51 <@Dolemite> Yeah, I should have waited a few minutes before laying down, to let is make it all the way down 07:57 < aestetix> what is zyrtec? 07:58 <@Corydon76> It's an allergy drug which helps impede part of the allergy response. 07:58 < aestetix> ahh 07:58 <@Corydon76> For those of us who suffer from seasonal allergies, it's one part of many that we use to help reduce our discomfort. 07:58 <@Dolemite> 'rona + Spring in the South == Paranoia 07:59 <@Corydon76> I use Claritin for the same purpose. 08:00 <@Dolemite> Claritin used to be fairly effective for me, but not the past few years, so I switched to Zyrtec 08:00 <@Dolemite> My body is getting acclimated to the East TN pollens, too, as I can now get by with just plain Zyrtec instead of Zyrtec-D 08:01 <@Dolemite> But i have to take it daily. If I let the allergies take hold, I end up with a sinus infucktion. 08:03 -!- rpifan [~rpifan@p200300D2672B68663BE026947B964D59.dip0.t-ipconnect.de] has joined #se2600 08:15 -!- Dolemite [~scott@h69-131-146-18.cncrtn.dsl.dynamic.tds.net] has quit [Quit: brb rebooting] 08:18 -!- Dolemite [~scott@h69-131-146-18.cncrtn.dsl.dynamic.tds.net] has joined #se2600 08:18 -!- mode/#se2600 [+o Dolemite] by ChanServ 08:26 <@dc0de> Dolemite: me too 08:42 <@Dolemite> Yay, my filesystem migration for Plex is done. 08:43 <@Dolemite> Time for some Beter Call Saul 08:43 <@Dolemite> Better 08:52 < dasunt> Cleaned out my USB C port on the phone. Never had the problem of lint collecting in the ports of othre USB phones. 08:53 <@Dolemite> You need a little silicon USB-C condom 08:53 < dasunt> Is USB C more likely to collect lint, or did I just get lucky befor? 08:56 <@dc0de> dasunt: I've never had a problem with lint, on any of my usb connectors... but I normally don't reconnect that often... and I keep all of my usb ports parallel to the ground.. if possible. 08:56 <@Corydon76> You got lucky. Do you keep your phone in your pocket? 09:01 <@Mirage> Never had that problem personally. 09:08 <@Corydon76> I also tend to recharge my phone via a Qi pad, so there's less of a chance of wearing out the connector. 09:23 -!- rpifan [~rpifan@p200300D2672B68663BE026947B964D59.dip0.t-ipconnect.de] has quit [Ping timeout: 260 seconds] 09:49 < dasunt> I alway keep my phone in my pocket 09:51 < dasunt> Also no wireless charging on the Moto X4. 10:01 <@Corydon76> dasunt: your pocket is probably how it picked up so much lint. I keep my phone in a holster. 10:08 <@Mirage> This really suprises me.. https://www.foxnews.com/auto/car-insurers-refunds-stay-at-home-policies-coronavirus 10:08 < PigBot> Auto insurers refunding millions due to stay-at-home policies | Fox News (at www.foxnews.com) http://tinyurl.com/vg7l3rl 10:09 <@Mirage> It makes sense, but I would have never expected them to do it. 10:18 -!- rpifan [~rpifan@p200300D2672B68663BE026947B964D59.dip0.t-ipconnect.de] has joined #se2600 10:20 <@opticron> dasunt, I think USB-C may just be more sensitive to lint buildup 10:22 < dasunt> That's what I'm wondering. 10:25 -!- rpifan [~rpifan@p200300D2672B68663BE026947B964D59.dip0.t-ipconnect.de] has quit [Ping timeout: 260 seconds] 10:26 < dasunt> Should I request VIM for coding, or just be normal and use VS? 10:30 <@e--> vscode is fine 10:30 <@opticron> request vim for later when you get fed up with something 10:50 <@Mirage> Apparently VMWare Workspace One on the new phone w/ Android 10 uses different ports than the version installed on my old S7. Part of my setup problem wound up being my firewall blocking connections out from the new phone. Finally just set up static DHCP for the new one and opened a hole in the firewall to get the software installer working. So annoying.. 10:59 < dasunt> I do like modal though. 12:26 -!- rpifan [~rpifan@p200300D2672B68663BE026947B964D59.dip0.t-ipconnect.de] has joined #se2600 14:48 <@e--> https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT211028 14:48 < PigBot> Assemble and adjust your Face Shield - Apple Support (at support.apple.com) http://tinyurl.com/t8jtljy 15:20 -!- rpifan_ [~rpifan@p200300D2672B684565E67BB0112E81A9.dip0.t-ipconnect.de] has joined #se2600 15:23 -!- rpifan [~rpifan@p200300D2672B68663BE026947B964D59.dip0.t-ipconnect.de] has quit [Ping timeout: 260 seconds] 16:27 -!- rpifan_ is now known as rpifan 17:24 -!- K`Tetch_ [~no@47.39.211.239] has joined #se2600 17:24 -!- K`Tetch_ [~no@47.39.211.239] has quit [Changing host] 17:24 -!- K`Tetch_ [~no@unaffiliated/ktetch] has joined #se2600 17:27 -!- K`Tetch [~no@unaffiliated/ktetch] has quit [Ping timeout: 256 seconds] 17:54 -!- K`Tetch [~no@47.39.211.239] has joined #se2600 17:54 -!- K`Tetch [~no@47.39.211.239] has quit [Changing host] 17:54 -!- K`Tetch [~no@unaffiliated/ktetch] has joined #se2600 17:58 -!- K`Tetch_ [~no@unaffiliated/ktetch] has quit [Ping timeout: 256 seconds] 19:35 -!- rpifan [~rpifan@p200300D2672B684565E67BB0112E81A9.dip0.t-ipconnect.de] has quit [Quit: Leaving] --- Log closed Wed Apr 08 00:00:52 2020
