15:57 < Evilpig_> aestetix: it really looks like the db structure there is just really complicated.  that cascade option causes it to do a series of drop records instead of just doing a truncate

16:43 < Evilpig_> turns out the truncate should have been quick, there was some type of autovacuum process that locked the db
