I found that Ubuntu with LXDE was good enough for my personal use. Toss it on one of the ultra small form factor Dell Optiplexes, and it plays everything I've thrown at it like a champ except for higan (An SNES emulator) set to maximum accuracy. 19:38 -!- TheDukh [~thedukh@2607:fcc8:ac80:d900:b068:99f1:8e4c:afdb] has joined #se2600 19:51 < xray> I really wanted to use Linux but I just couldn't get flash, DVD, and Blu Ray to play reliably. On Windows pretty much everything just works, well except for Blu Ray with third party ($$) software and proprietary hard to use interfaces. I managed to get around all that so I can use just about any video player (like VLC) but at the expense of Blue Ray menus.
